Your daughter is beautiful, new hubby quite handsome, and I don't think I've ever seen a picture of Earl. Yep, handsome as well! I know what you mean about not taking pictures. I read somewhere recently, and it wasn't on a blog or even about blogging...it was about trying to take pictures and still enjoy the moment. Doesn't happen. Put the camera away. Your full attention and being in the moment is more important.

I can't wait to see how the vacated bedroom looks when you're done. I wonder what we will do with Abby's room. We have a small office and don't need more room, and we never have guests so that's sort of pretentious. Hmmm...after all these years in our "starter" home, I never thought we'd have room to spare! lol!

Thank you for a lovely comment on my last post (about "finding myself"). I think some "got it", and I know you did. I'd just like to branch out...do more on my own. Children and commitments and mortgages...the whole bag, it seems to culminate in a bit of confusion of our real wants and needs. I'm at a loss as what I want to do at this point in my life...sort of like that empty bedroom in the future. I wish us both luck and a few prayers for good measure!

Jane xx Blondie's Journalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12988377413260331618noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-325471728565796895.post-14984053235953527592014-08-20T20:46:01.131-05:002014-08-20T20:46:01.131-05:00Oh Kathy, it was so hard for me when my kids left ...Oh Kathy, it was so hard for me when my kids left home. It's been a lot of years ago now but I still remember the exact feeling I felt. But, getting a few office/craft room will really help! I'm super excited to see what you do with your new space! How far away is your daughter and her new husband? I hope they are close - that will help a lot! - Dori -Dori at The Red Feedsackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09600940689338767875noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-325471728565796895.post-51366606820085998642014-08-20T16:08:21.039-05:002014-08-20T16:08:21.039-05:00We were empty nesters for a few short weeks last y...We were empty nesters for a few short weeks last year when our youngest went off to college. Then in late October our oldest came back home with her dog and they are still here. Thursday we move our youngest back off for her 2nd year of college and hopefully (keeping fingers crossed) our oldest will be moving into her own home very soon! I'm excited for the space that we will have once again....they have acquired alot of stuff living on their own. Will watch for pics! The parents were happily moving forward. It's different and it takes some adjustment when the kids are gone, but it's all good and just as it should be! Have fun creating your new spaces!
