Twenty below wind chills gave me the day off from my job at the school (Yay!) so I finally finished this spring apron. I love the ivy print and all the lovely green mixed with black. Now I am headed out to lunch with eldest daughter Lauren, some shopping and showing her the ropes at work for our second job. We will be sharing a receptionist job for a tax prep place and we start Monday. The apron can be found on my etsy, hopefully I will get a few more started/finished this weekend. Next week will be full of work and youngest daughter Victoria coming home for a week between semesters. I hope you all have a great weekend! Stay warm:>)

ReplyDeleteI love this one Kathy! The colors are great together. Stay warm! Our power went out at 7AM this morning and we were informed it won't be fixed until tomorrow morning. It is going to be about 4 degrees tonight. We have no water because we are on a well...So we are spending the night in a hotel....

What a CUTE apron, Kathy. Your banner is so, so sweet. Never fear, the kitchen fairy stays near. :) That's my deal, I buy ornaments on sale, my faves, hang them in the kitchen until Christmas. Then they go on the tree. When everything gets packed away, I buy a couple of more. Ornaments just cheer me up, guess I ought to look at them more then. :) It is FREEZING here, but Maggie and I still went out for a run. Must be that ol' dad in the military background. :)

Hi Kathy, this new apron is wonderful! I love the combinations of patterns and colors you've choosen.
ReplyDeleteWe were hoping school would be closed yesterday because it was sooo cold (some counties did close) but not ours! It's like 12 degrees here! That's mighty cold for Atlanta!
How fun that you and Lauren will be job sharing! Yay that Earl will be starting a new job!! I hope that works into something permanent for him. Love the flowers below - Kroger is my go to place for clearanced flowers. Have a fun weekened!
Manuela
I love all of the aprons you make!!!

Kathy, I love the apron.
ReplyDeletePraise God! I was so glad to hear that Earl got a job. Sometimes those temporary jobs work out to a permanent. I pray the Earl will be happy there and that this will end-up being a secure place for him to work.
Stay warm and have a wonderful week-end with those girls. Debbi
What a great color combo! That bow makes it so cute. Soon people will be wearing them on the street I'll bet.
ReplyDeleteJob sharing...thats neat!

Hi Kathy!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog, and boy am I glad that I did! Beautiful stuff - I LOVE your apron! I really like the flouncy layers. I have been wanting to make an apron just like it for a while now. I even bought the fabrics about 6 months ago. You have inspired me to get started. Thank you for a beautiful blog. I'm going to add you to my favorites if you don't mind. Have a blessed Sunday!
Hugs,
Kathleen

i love that apron. Just darling.........
ReplyDeleteKathy ~ Your aprons are a hit!! The recipe for the potato pancakes a from Manschweitz, I believe. You can find it in the Kosher section at the grocery store. Just add water and eggs, let set and thicken. That's it. It's already seasoned, though I add salt and pepper to taste...and I cannot help but eat them as soon as they leave the pan. :)
ReplyDeleteBig hug ~
