Isn't that just the truth? *sigh*
Of course I'm always willing to share the joy. I found this apple cake recipe on Pinterest and with a huge harvest of apples from my mom-in-love I needed something to use them in, right?
This cake is wonderful, it made the house smell great and the brown sugar, vanilla and cream glaze on the top tastes like caramel. And just so you know, I took most of it to work and shared.
You can find the recipe here. Do a little daydreaming of your own while you have a piece:>)
Oh boy. That looks delicious! :o)
ReplyDeleteOh. My. Goodness. That looks so good and I love the plate it is setting on!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteOh I could smell that apple cake cooking clear out here in the Phoenix desert. Does it ever smell heavenly.
I will have to go to Pinterest and see if I can find this recipe. I love anything apple.
Thank you for the wonderful piece of cake this morning. I so enjoyed your company. Have a glorious day sweetie. Country hugs and much love, Sherry
Oh Kathy, why do you do this to me? You know my favorite sound is my Kitchenaide mixer followed closely by my own chewing! I know what I'll be baking this weekend. ;) Patty
ReplyDeleteWow, does that look YUMMY :)
ReplyDeleteLooks so good! I just made a pumpkin cake and "have" to finish it before making something else, but I will give it a looky.
ReplyDeleteThat is one yummy looking cake! I'll have to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
I printed the recipe because it does look very tasty. I love Apple Cake but mostly in the fall. Do you think it would work to serve the cake with the glaze heated and served over each individual piece instead of pouring the glaze over the hot cake right out of the oven? I'm used to serving a butter sauce over my apple cake individual servings but this glaze looks so yummy I want to try it.
ReplyDeleteWait a minute!!!!! What cake??? LOL
ReplyDeleteummmm, apple cake is one of my favorites...I'll bet the people at work love you to pieces. I sure do.:)
