The dishes are done, the turkey bones are simmering to make broth, and the leftovers are in the fridge. The last two slices of punpkin chocolate swirl cheesecake have been sent home with my sister so I don't eat them myself. It was a day filled with laughter and fun and hugs and catching up with the neices and nephew. Love that. I hope all of your Thanksgiving's were as warm and happy and blessed as ours:>)
Black friday? nah. I don't need anything badly enough to stand in line with 4000 other people for two hours. Not fun. I'll just be home tomorrow, listening to Christmas carols, hanging with the kiddo and maybe decorating a little for Christmas. Sounds perfect to me. I know I won't have to cook for a few days. Oh what joy:>) Whether you decide to brave the crowds or just stay home yourself, Have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend.
Happy Thanksgiving to you! Your plans sound wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a perfectly splendid day Kathy!
ReplyDeleteTreat yourself well for the rest of the weekend...you've earned it!
Sounds like a perfect day to me! I wish that I could do that. Unfortunatly I work in retail and nobody gets off on thet day. It I didn't have to work tomorrow, I know that I would not be shopping. I actually dread going in the morning. Some customers can be so mean on that day.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day spent at home with your family!
Hugs,
Lee Laurie
Happy Thanksgiving, honey. We're cooking out here on the west coast. Smelling goooood though.

ReplyDeleteI am listening to the dishwasher humming as I type!! I still have some cleaning up to do but since I will not be braving the crowds tomorrow either....lol!! We will be leaving for dessert in a short while and I am only allowing myaelf a bite or two of each sweet!! And tomorrow...the treadmill!!
I am so glad to hear you had a good Thanksgiving. Enjoy the rest of the long weekend! :-)

I am letting my dinner settle before I have my pumpkin pie and coffee. We had a wonderful day and like you, I don't "shop" on black Friday. I am going to the local Ace Hardware about 4 miles down the road to pick up some new tree lights. We seem to have lost ours in the move! Then I can start decorating my tree.

Happy Thanksgiving sweetie! It sounds like we will be spending the day about the same tomorrow, lol! I made enough for two Thanksgiving dinners also, so no cooking for tomorrow, yay! Glad you had such a nice day Kathy!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Amy
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Kathy.
ReplyDeleteHi, Kathy -
ReplyDeleteSounds like your Thanksgiving Day was like ours. We had just four of us - my dear mother, my cousin and her husband and me. My sweetheart is on the opposite corner of the state in search of the 'perfect' elk! Our kids had other plans today but may be coming over tomorrow evening for leftovers. My house is quiet, the kitchen is clean, my puppy is curled up on my feet, my eyes are getting sleepy and all is well. We are so blessed, aren't we?
~Adrienne~
P.S. - I'm not doing the sales tomorrow, either. Don't need anything that bad!
Hi Kathy.I will be home tomorrow listening to my Christmas music as I get my decorations out.
ReplyDeleteI don't care what it was or if it was free,I wouldn't want to fight the crowds.
I was wondering if you have already listed the little spreaders, and maybe I missed them?
I was wanting one for a gift but wanted something else on it.Would that be possible?I would need it by the 5th. of December...
I didn't see your e-mail posted,so I oculd send you a note.Thanks Kathy. Blessings,Becky
I don't do Black Friday either! It is a decorating day for me - possibly getting our tree as well...
ReplyDeleteJust love to be with the family!
Have a great day!
Let's hang out today Kathy! I'm not going anywhere either!
ReplyDeleteI saw the cutest paper banner in a shop at the Bower blog...do you know that one? Wonder if I could make one....and a paper chain from something pretty...
You are right! Seeing the neices and nephews is so fun! Ours have babies too :)
Hi Becky,
ReplyDeleteI haven't done any more of the spreaders yet. I may work on some this weekend. Drop me a line @ kathyscottage@yahoo.com.
Sounds like your day went well. What a lovely tradition t is.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy.
ReplyDeleteNo crowd braving over here. ;o) A few clients to visit with and then home to be with my family! :o)
Your day sounds perfect.
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne
Hello, dear one. I'm with you on the staying away from the crowds, though one errand does bid. Hopefully it won't be too bad. Hope you have a lovely, peaceful day. Your banner is very pretty!
ReplyDeleteThanksgiving was awesome! I just wish I'd been able to stick around and hang out longer instead of having to work. :( I love you mommy! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you.....the after Thanksgiving sales are so not worth it! I'm taking it kind of easy today...took a shower and put some pajamas on, it's that kind of day. I don't do that but a couple days a year and this is one!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Joni
Glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Now wishing you a Merry christmas! Darling blog!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Maryjane
Sounds like such a peaceful and cozy time!! But I couldn't have sent the pumpkin chocolate away...lol. ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteI could never understand why everyone shops on Black Friday. I prefer sneaking into the malls during the week at dinner time when it isn't so crowded. My daughter's were working and they said the crowds were huge.
It sounds like you had a lovely peaceful time. Wish I could have stopped by your beautiful home. I am excited I have an idea for Handmade Holiday. I'll be experimenting and hopefully it will come out okay. Have a lovely Sunday Kathy.
