Easter Feaster and a Prize:>)

We had a wonderful Easter! I can't remember the last time it actually felt like spring for Easter Sunday. All the little girls in their fluffy dresses at church were glorying in it:>)

We had a fabulous Easter Feast. The table was groaning with Ham, Honey Baked Turkey, Creamed peas and parslied new potatoes, broccoli salad and sis-in- love's soft home made crescent rolls.
Dessert was furnished by my other sister-in-love Penny who made this gorgeous trifle. A double chocolate trifle topped with fresh raspberries and drizzled with her home made chocolate sauce. Oh. my.
I also wanted to share the amazing table runner I won from Into Vintage who makes the most beautiful things from vintage tablecloths and sells them in her etsy shop. You have to go there and see. I want one of everything.
The table runner I won is perfect for the direction I am going with the kitchen and dining room. The colors are beautiful, and along with the runner she sent a lavender sachet and a tissue holder for my purse.
Thank you Amy! I love my prize and I love your blog!
If you have never been there, go visit. You'll love it:>)
I trust everyone had a wonderful day, Spring is here and I feel happy all the time. Seriously, Spring does that to me. How about you? Are you feeling the joy yet?

  7. Easter sounds like it was wonderful at your house Kathy! We missed Easter dinner this year. I was on a plane flying home from France and they served us beef and rice or pasta and fish (yucky).
I plan on making a belated Easter dinner next Sunday.

What a wonderful runner! I am looking forward to the changes you will be making.
    Hugs,
    Penny

  9. Your table is so pretty! That Trifle looks DELISH! I made one for Easter also and posted the recipe today. Easy peasy. I so need a non etched Trifle bowl though. Takes a prettier photo.
I AM joyful, but ALSO have Spring fever ...not wanting to be inside at work. ;-)

What are they called? I need a better look. You most certainly can come over when we have the kids over! The more the merrier. Mimi

  13. Becky, I'll try to get Earls sister to part with the recipe for you;>)
Mimi Sue, I am pretty sure I have featured the dishes before, they are pink, Johnson Brothers Rose Bouquet. The whole set was found at a church rummage sale for $15. I thought I found the Holy Grail (pardon the pun) They are used for every holiday and special occasion I can think of, even the ones that don't call for pink rose dishes:>)
