I voted

Hubby and I just got back from the polls and despite a l-o-n-g line we were through in about 40 minutes. I am so glad that is over. I don't know about you, but I dont intend to turn on the t.v. until tomorrow morning at the soonest. I just don't want to hear the projections and speculation until they actually know who won. I am thankful that we can vote in this country, and I don't think I have missed an opportunity to do my civic duty since I turned 18, but I tire of the empty promises, the outright lies and the automated phone calls long before it is really over.
It is all out of my hands now and into Gods, where it has really been all along. I just pray that we get a good leader, a leader we can trust and the man who will do the best job. Amen.
And if you want to take your mind off the election, check out the post below that contains my 300th post give-away. Sign up and I'll draw a name Saturday. :>)

  1. So glad to didn't have to wait too long to cast your most important vote...
Bill is the same way about watching all the hype...he gets upset so it's just as well that he doesn't watch much of it....now, me, on the other hand, stay GLUED to it, from beginning to end. Tonight, I'll sit right in front of the idot box with a bowl of popcorn, cokes, candy, snacks of all kinds and I will love every minute of it....CRAZY...
Hope this workless day is perfect for you...
    love, bj

There are those who would argue that i have enough angels for several people but i say there is always room for one more!! Please put my name in the drawing. I am glad you were able to get a new computer since it would be an emptier day for a lot of us w/o your blog. LAS

  6. Wow, that was a long wait. I'm hearing that from a lot of people. We went at around 9am and were in and out. We were prepared for a long line though. As much as I would like to not have the TV on, I know I won't be able to resist. Well, I'm off to go turn on CNN:)

  10. Glad to see you're up to speed on your new computer!

I agree with you -- am SO glad this election is over. This has been the most dispiriting, disheartening and downright disgusting election I have ever seen. Like you, I refused to turn the television on last night - and what a refreshing respite that was!

Your angel is a darling angel. Congratulations on making it to 300 posts - that's awesome! I'm having a ONE hundredth post giveaway, so if you like pink roses, stop on by!
