Earl's favorite candle is lit. Cinnabon Caramel Pecanbon. Mmmm, it smells like a bakery!
The kitchen is clean and there is a pot of chicken stock simmering on the stove.
I have cut out some more heart and home pillows, although I just don't know if I will get them finished and listed before I leave for Florida tuesday. I hope you don't mind. I will try but the days are flying past! I will make time to announce the winner of the giveaway pillow Monday morning!
And now I have my mug of coffee on this chilly night (decaf of course!) and I am ready to get "Lost in Austen" with Victoria. She and I are huge Jane Austen fans. Earl, not so much. He has a book to read though so he will be cozy too:>)
Love the pillow design. Don't push yourself. Enjoy your trip & be safe.

Kathy, that sounds like a perfect evening to me. Enjoy your time.
ReplyDeleteYour homemade bread looks delicious. I'm ready to have a nice cup of tea, read my book, relax and enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteOooh, the bread smells s-o good! And the chicken stock, too. The candle adds a nice aroma to the coziness of your cottage. I'll be right over to join you and Victoria. Do you have an extra teacup - or should I bring mine? Have a great weekend. I'm about ready to slow down and enjoy the rest of mine. I think! ~Adrienne~
ReplyDeleteI'll have a loaf of bread and that candle please, honey! Looks good and I bet smells great......
ReplyDeletexoxo,

I saw Lost in Austen a few months back (Netflix). You'll like it - I loved how it ended. I like the actress Jemima something that's the main character. She was in the Railway Children (which is a wonderful movie if you haven't seen it yet - PBS).
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so homey! I'm sure your neighbors appreciated the homemade bread! I know I would!
Manuela
ok, if that isn't the perfect day I don't know what is! Wish it was cool enough here, I would bake all day. Where did you get that yummy candle??

Oh I love the weather today, I can't help it, I love fall. I think it's because I'm a nester and Fall and winter means nesting. Summer is nice but I get really tired of the humidity. Have a wonderful evening and rest of the weekend.

Enjoy that time with your daughter. Before you know it she'll be out of the house with a family of her own. Mimi
ReplyDeleteOh Kathy, I am noticing it too :( Someone has a woodstove going and when I let the dogs in I said to Chad, it sure smells like fall!! I am so sad about that, lol!!! ALthough I do like the beginning of fall - until the leaves are off the trees, then I am done, lol!
