First Sunday of Advent - Hope

“May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace, as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

Today is the first Sunday of Advent.  A time to anticipate and celebrate the coming of Christ. A time of reflection and a time to prepare our hearts for the joy of Christmas.  In these times of uncertainty and hard times, my prayer for you is that you find hope through the birth of Jesus, and that you find his joy and peace filling your hearts in the days ahead:>)

  5. Our little SS class had 3 men needing jobs this a.m. They are clinging to what they know is true...Delight yourselves in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart...Now that's something to celebrate!

  9. Hi KG, (Can I call you that?),

First, thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment so that I could find you!

Second, thank you for being in your 50's...it tells me we share some similar memories.

Third, that bible verse filled me like wind in my sails this morning (Monday) and, boy did I need it. I think I just exhaled for the first time in more than 6 hours....
Thank you very, very much for that!

  10. Lovely post Kathy. This Christmas seems more like the old fashioned ones I remember when we focussed more on Christ than on gifts. Your photograph is beautiful.
