Dreaming...

I am so winter weary.  It's been a long one and although we had a brief taste of spring last week, we have been inundated with snow ever since, with more on the way tonight.  I am so tired of snow and cold that even the  promise of another snow day doesn't make me look forward to more flaky weather.
Just look at these photos. Don't you long for the colors and scents of spring?
1. Chickadee After Breakfast, 2. Crab Apple Blossoms, 3. Vanity (365/175), 4. Basket Case, 5. Some More Bokeh for you Sherry..lol..:O)), 6. Spring flower, 7. Spring Flowers, 8. Desert Tissue Spring Flowers Joshua Tree National Park, 9. Happiness
I'm going to dedicate myself to revamping this blog for spring in the next few weeks. Out with the old and in with the new, I've ignored this creative outlet long enough. Hopefully I can inject some fresh air and sunshine here if nowhere else.
Any ideas for a spring blog party out there?

  4. We haven't had hardly any snow at all and some cold but not over much. Cold & snow is not my favorite weather either. I hibernate and do lots of crafting in the winter ~ then I don't mind it too much. This too shall pass and so it shall.

  5. I'm right there with ya Kathy! I have had enough. At least when we had the ice storm the sun was shining and the sky was blue. This is painful...

  7. Such beautiful photos! I am ready for spring! We have had some gorgeous days but it's too early for anything to bloom. Well my daffodils did come out and that bright yellow is a welcome sight.

  8. That's a beautiful montage Kathy...ahh, so sweetly serene and colorful. I LOVE Spring and I am up for a blog party! Maybe one that involves our favorite craft, decorating project, or recipies that sing Spring. All things birds, bunnies, flowers, gardening and such...just brainstorming here...

If you come up with something, I'll sure play along!

Can't wait to see your upcoming blog updates...it feels so good to refresh things a bit...I'm sure it will be awesome!

Have a great weekend! Hugs & Blessings,
    Becky

  9. Thank you for a peak at Spring. It's a breath of fresh air. We've had snow today and now the sun is shining - and the snow is falling! All at the same time. Spring, where are you?

  11. This happens to me every Feb. It is the shortest month, but it also seems to be the worst weather wise!

Your pictures are beautiful and I would love to look out my window and see that...

  12. You hit it on the head with the word "weary", Kathy. That's how I feel, but it comes with a measure of guilt because I never want to rush the seasons. So I can settle for just looking at pretty pictures of flowers like you have posted!

How about a spring garden party?

    XO,
    Jane

  15. What glorious photos. Spring and gardens seem like a distant memory with this winter weather. We are getting snow outside my window as I write this, and more tomorrow. Guess that old Groundhog was fooling us.

Well, thank you for your lovely photo choices. Spring is beneath the snowflakes I promise. As I write these words it is so blustery outside with the wind picking up...I am thinking I am like that old groundhog.

  23. I've been so ready for spring too...and it is here..actually been rather HOT for a couple of days. I'm fighting the urge to turn on the air! Spring is my favorite time of year...so I hope it lingers a while and does not go from winter straight to summer here in the south!

  24. Kathy, winter got to me this year and you know I'm a Florida girl! I shouldn't complain. Spring has sprung here and I wish I could send it your way. Keep drinking in the colors where you can find them. That really helps! Turning the calender to March this morning is making me breath deeper.

  26. I have just a few little tiny green things, peeking up thru all the dirty, dry leaves. If we don't get moisture out here soon, I think I won't have any flowers at all this year. I just came from Cozy Little House and she is surrounded with pretty blooms. I walked outside and, boo hoo...not a flower one.

  31. My idea for a spring blog party is a tea party. I have a hat and I like small sandwiches and baked goods.

Oh...that's not what you meant? Oops!
