Summer nights seem just right for fresh strawberry lemonade, fresh blueberry pie (made by my sweetie, "Mr. Dessert") and an evening with friends. Our friends brought a salad and we grilled some Mini Ranch Turkey Burgers (add 1/4 cup of bread crumbs and they hold together much better on the grill) These are so good, they are our recipe of the summer for having friends over, and they all want the recipe!
After our picnic we headed into town for a free concert in the park. What a beautiful night! it was hot during the day but as evening approached we enjoyed a cooling breeze and a spectacular sunset. Get out and enjoy these summer evenings, they won't last forever:>)

  23. Hi Kathy, Sounds like the perfect summer evening with friends and a delicious meal. We make the turkey burgers too and love them. I make them ahead with hamburger seasoning, then form patties in a special press and freeze them. When it comes time to grill, they go on frozen and hold together nicely. My mom started this many years ago with the make ahead and freeze idea and now I do it too. We always have burgers ready for a cookout. I have not tried the added bread. I will have to try this too. Thank you for sharing.

Enjoyed catching up on your lovely blog. Always the best posts.
    Blessings to you.
    Hugs, Celestina Marie

  26. Hi Kathy, thanks for stopping by and leaving such a sweet comment. The cross stitch sampler is one that I purchased finished, I just had to frame it. I framed it in a stock size frame but it really needs a custom frame which I did not want to spend the money on now. Up high with the quilts you don't really notice that the frame is not a perfect fit! LOL
    Have a great week!
