Back to my ranunculus... I popped it into this cute little Peter rabbit pot that I picked up at a church sale. It is perfect for a little Easter decoration on the table and the bright sunshine streaming in the east window this morning was so beautiful!
Only 10 more days until job # 2 is over. Can I be thankful for the extra money and thankful that it is nearly over too? I am looking forward to blogging on a more regular basis again. Creating some fun things for etsy and moving forward. I plan to do a small series about me. Sounds a bit egocentric but one of the things I don't enjoy about blogging is the superficiality of it all. You know we leave little sound bites for each other, love this, great job, but I would love to know more about you. I know there is something much deeper to all of us. Without getting scarey personal (this is the internet!) I hope we can share a bit more of what makes us who we are. Think about it. I will announce a Mr. Linky party later in the month and I hope some of you will hop on board. Memories of yourselves as children, what you love besides the obvious and whatever you would like to share so you aren't just that lady who loves toile and decorating! Anyone interested?

ReplyDeleteThat is an admirable goal--to learn more about our bloggy pals. I have friends who met on line and got married--surely a deeper friendship could be the outcome of blogging. Can't wait to get to really no you!

I'm in!! Yay Kathy - great idea!! It would be wonderful to share on a deeper level with all the fascinating women here...we already feel a kindred spirit between so many of us...it will be wonderful to dig deeper into that and discover more reasons why that is true...
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your 2nd job is winding down...I know it will be a relief...but I'm sure it was a real blessing too. Of course it'll be great to see more of you around here...!!
Looking forward to knowing you better...have a great week...I'll be thinking warm Spring thoughts for you!! (it's in the 70's and gorgeous here...sorry :o)
Hugs and Blessings,
Becky S. at Just Bee 'n Me
Your beautiful flower looks wonderful in that pot! We have snow in the forecast for tomorrow and Tuesday -- seems about right for early April -- that last hurrah. Hope neither one of us ends up with much!
ReplyDeleteYour "getting to know you" party sounds like it will be wonderful!
Your plant is beautiful! I know what you mean about getting to know each other better without getting scary-personal...some people do not know the meaning of the word "boundary".
ReplyDeleteGood luck with everything coming up!
I love your touch of spring in your new flower and the precious pot...WITH the sunlight streaming in. I hope your snow is over there!
ReplyDeleteWe are full into spring and spring here in West Texas is WIND..WIND..more WIND and SAND!
Not pleasant at all...I am looking forward to "fast forward thru spring and get into summer"!
The GET TO KNOW YOU BETTER is a good thing,....I think!! :<)
I pretty much have spilled my guts on MY blog but ....I'll sure play along on your Mr. Linky..
hugs, bj
I've been in love with this flower for years.
ReplyDeleteOh,love the bunny pot and flowers!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy! I can totally understand liking your 2nd job but being excited about it being over. We look forward to more posts from you. :) Just let us know when you want to do the linky.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about needed to close the curtains. Weather up here is supposed to be in the high 20s with snow. I just can't imagine why spring just doesn't burst through and shoo winter away!
ReplyDeleteI think folks get a sense of me from my blog. I talk about family a bit and my writing sure gives a lot away about how I feel about a variety of subjects. But, if you begin the thread about getting to know people, give me a holler. I'd like to join in.
Hope you have a fun week..m..
ReplyDeleteHumming 'Getting to know you. . .getting to know all about you. . .getting to like you. . .getting to hope you like me'! I'm looking forward to your sharing and I'd like to participate. I agree it's so easy to be superficial and never really get to know what makes you YOU! One of my dearest friends and I met online quite a few years ago. I visited her - she visited me - and then they moved nearby. It will be a good thing to get better acquainted!

Your Getting to Know you sounds great Kathy!
ReplyDeleteIt was 80 yesterday and we are suppose to have snow tonight! So I know how you feel...
Hugs,
Penny
The flower is so pretty. I don't do well with potted plants. My green thumb turns black with them.
ReplyDeleteWendy
Lovely ranunculus, I like greens and creams together.
ReplyDeleteGetting to know you....I am so aware that the whole world can read anything I write (not that they'd want to!), but tend to be very careful what I write.
Having said that, I have made some lovely friends via blogs but through private e mails and letters.
I adore the beautiful flower ...I know how you feel about snow and spring slow to arrive. We continue to be pounded with storm after storm and snow after snow! Tuesday is perdicted to be in the high 60's, maybe even might hit 70! But, Wednesday ...in the high 40's with rain and snow. I'm going to enjoy Tuesday and not think about Wednesday! I think your idea of 'getting to know blogland friends' better is a great idea!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo! The weather here is so crazzeeeee! Snow flurries tonight and maybe tomorrow, 28 tomorrow, storms on friday, and back up to 70 on saturday! No wonder we're all sneezing!
ReplyDelete10 more days of your second job - yipeeee! I'm sure you're looking forward to having more time to do the things you love.
Manuela
I Love idea of a "getting to know you" post! I sometimes don't blog because I constantly feel like it's all about "look what I got!" and thats really not me at all!
ReplyDeleteLove that plant....pure simple beauty...and a small pleasure that I'm sure puts a smile on your face!
Hoping for a bit of Spring for you this week!
We got about 7 inches of wet heavy snow today...ugh! I spent 2 hours today knocking off snow from my precious bushes and trees! Buds have fallen like crazy...sigh.
ReplyDeleteAnyway...love your flower!
Those flowers are lovely. I know that so many areas had snow, even my mom in Vermont. It's pretty cold and rainy here too. I keep posting about Spring...wishful thinking.
ReplyDeleteKaren
Hi Kathy....count me in too...I love to spill my guts...I'm the original person who loves to talk to strangers....and well anyone who will listen....Can you tell I have a husband that turns a deaf ear....
ReplyDeleteI love your flowers and the little rabbit pot is perfect for it. The 'getting to know you' sounds like a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI think you know me pretty well already. The cool thing is that you still love me, even though you know me. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhat am I supposed to be bringing for Easter? That pesky Lauren won't drop the FSB idea so I may have to make some-but don't tell her that she's wearing me down, ok?
Kathleen, I know what you mean! I think however many are uncomfortable showing what really goes on, and guess its their choice. As for my site, sometimes I have been told I tell too much! Well thats me, and it is my journal to write as I please! So if you really want to know the bleak, sweetie I always share! My good side however is my frou-frouness! Love the new backround and pink roses! Oops, here I go again! Well guess what? My husband drives me bonkers! Yep, no lovey guy is he!! LOL Have a wonderful Easter dear! Lori
