I hope everyone's Christmas was happy. Ours was wonderful. We dragged our gift opening out as long as possible and then we just ate, visited grandma and watched movies. Perfect.
Of course, just like many of you, we still have some family parties to attend. Tomorrow is our party with Earl's family and it is one of my favorite events. Earl and I always host Thanksgiving and his sis usually takes Christmas. Since there are so many of us, we have let each other off the hook for the most part on gifts. I made a few things for the nieces and I put together these cute mittens for a sweet step-niece and her family. FIlled with dipped pretzels and candy they are just a little token that says we love them. I got to use my new sewing machine to embellish the edges;>) Yay! My upper respiratory thing is just hanging on so I am napping, and watching movies in between little projects. I plan on doing very little in the next few days and hoping I can get better. Why can't I be sick when I'm not off work, that's what sick days are for right? lol. I'm off to do a little more playing and a lot more napping. I hope you all do the same. Christmas isn't over you know! There are still lots of good things to enjoy:>) I hope you are enjoying them all.
Little somethings that say "we love you" - how perfect is that? Exactly what this season is all about!!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that upper respiratory thing is hanging on -- you are doing the best thing..relaxing, napping, taking in fluids...
Glad to hear that your Christmas Day was such a delight and you have more festivies to look forward to!!
What a pretty little gift. You always have the sweetest ideas.
ReplyDeleteI had to go check out the story about your glasses. I'm finally giving in and will get reading glasses the next time I go in. Enjoyed your cute photos, it's nice to have a face to put with the name and blog.
Feel better soon!

ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear you are sick. So many bloggers are...I hope it isn't catchy! ;-)
I love the mittens. The fabric looks so soft. You have a new sewing machine? How wonderful! You will have SO much fun...and soon I will too!
We are finally finished with parties and I am finally finished with cleaning and cooking. I slept late today and my husband said I needed it. That is a compliment! And as long as my tree is up and twinkling, it is still Christmas for me!!

I hope that you will feel better real soon. I snickered at your comment about being sick on days you can take "sick days." Ironically, my sick times fall like yours. :o)
