The old computer is quite dead, may it rest in peace. We will have to get a new one, hubby needs it for his job searches and I need it for this, and yes, blogging is a legitimate reason for buying a new computer, even in the worst of times! I hope to be up and running by the end of the week, and catching up with everyone. I am able to steal a few moments on Laurens laptop but I really hate these things.
While you are waiting breathlessly for my return (I llike to think:>) hop on over to my sweet SIL at Blue Barn Bulletin and enter her 100th post give-away and say hello. You can see some of the painting I did on the nieces walls years ago. Looks like they will need to be redone :>) I hope to see you soon!
There's always the library! Hope you get it all resolved soon!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Manuela
You need it for your Etsy shop too! See it is a business expense. Hope you get your new one soon. Heading over to your SIL...

Poor 'puter. May it rest...or be revived! Who knows!?
ReplyDeleteI hope you can get it resolved soon. I know you would miss having it for your etsy shop!
And we would miss you here!

Oh, Kathy, if you tell the shop that you have a daughter in college they will give you a student discount. All that you need is her college ID number. Well, perhaps this new computer marks the beginning of a brand new wonderful chapter.
ReplyDeleteKaren
Well, good grief...I can't believe so many are having computer problems...me, too! Bo says her's is about to kick the bucket, now your's....mine could go at any minute...
ReplyDeleteHurry back to us and now I am going to visit your SIL....
love, bj
So sorry to hear about the "death in the family", LOL! It's a big deal when a computer dies. I had to buy one right at the beginning of a 6 mo. period of unemployment and it wasn't pretty!

Tara
How sad! Glad you'll be up and running in blogland soon!
ReplyDeleteI am sooo sorry to hear about your computer!! Well, a nice new one will really be a blessing. I am new to your blog but really enjoying it!!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy!
ReplyDeleteSorry about your computer.. they always go at the most inconvenient of times, although we rely on them so much, anytime is inconvenient!
Waiting with baited breathe!
xoxo~
Oh, dear I am sorry about that. One just function without a PC and a link to the world. I do hope you find the right one and at a bargain price. As we say here in Afrikaans: Sterkte! That means Courage!
ReplyDeleteBummer is right! It's devastating to lose your computer to a terrible virus! It's like losing your door to the world. (and..I agree with Penny ...it's a business expense of course!)
ReplyDeleteI AM waiting breathlessly for your return. I've missed you! You always leave the sweetest comments on my blog and brighten my day every time you do. You're such a sweet lady, and I'm sure all of un in blog-land are missing you very much. I can't wait to see what you've been up to (besides struggling with your computer). See you soon!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Patricia :o)
PS: You need the computer for Etsy. So you HAVE to get a really nice one.
Thank you for your sweet comment :)
ReplyDeleteOh Kathy, that's too bad. It's amazing how much we rely on computers. Like someone else said, maybe you can get a college discount? Good luck!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Mary
Kathy, I hope this computer trouble ends soon. I just stopped by to wish you a very Happy Halloween. Thanks for always leaving such lovely words on my posts.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Karen
It's my first time today visiting your blog and I love it! It's so cheerful, and bright and happy.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, you'll have your new computer very soon.
Many sweet blessings!
Happy Halloween! Another great reason to get a new computer. :)
ReplyDeleteI went through that too. It just wouldn't turn on. It's still sitting waiting for me to get someone to get my files off of it and maybe fix it so I can give it away.
Hope it works out quickly for you.
Donna
Good luck picking out your new computer! Looking forward to your return...
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween!
Happy Halloween, Kathy! I hope you are up and running again soon.

Oh Kathy, that's the last thing you need. Darned old computers! They always go belly-up at the worst possible moment. I'm so sorry you have to bear this significant expense during this tough time. I do hope you find something reasonably priced. I bought an 'eMachine' brand a few years ago for a very good price and it seems to work quite well. Still praying for you and your husband. Keep your chin up, dear Kathy!
ReplyDeleteHave a safe and happy Halloween!

OOOOO, so glad you ARE BAAAACK !!
ReplyDeleteBe sure to tell us what kind of new computer you got. I am having so much trouble with mine that it's not EVEN funny. I never know from day to day if it's gonna get going...and somehow my laptop and desktop are all hooked up to the same thing and if d.top doesn't work, then neither does lap top...
CRAZY...
Have a blessed weekend...
love, bj
Glad to hear you have a new computer. Hope to see dizzying new heights of inspired writing soon!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Penny -- it's a business expense. Hope you bought a Mac.
:-)))
Have a wonderful day getting to know your new baby!
