Happy first day of Autumn! I keep wanting to blog more but the past few days have been hectic! Tonight I need to bake bread, harvest the basil and make pesto, and finish the laundry. I still haven't started dinner and it's almost 6:00! And yet here I am writing a quick note. I hope I can do more tomorrow if I can just get caught up tonight:>) Enjoy the warm sunshine my friends! I have the windows thrown open and soon the smell of fresh bread and pesto will fill the kitchen! I'll see you soon:>)

MMMMMMMMMmmmmmm...sounds good!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear from you!! I've been sooooo busy, too! And, no stopping in sight for me yet. There's MUCH COOLER temps coming next week, so this week, I've got to work really hard to get MANY things done!!!

Homemade pesto...yumm! Last time I looked at my basil it was all dried up - we haven't had rain in a few weeks and I forgot to water it.

Oh, that sounds so good. I love that picture. Hope you have a wonderful evening!
ReplyDeleteAh, warm sunshine and the smell of freshly baked bread! May I join you? Warm sunshine is but a recent memory here. Our weather has changed to more normal Fall days and nights. Cool, mostly gray days and chilly nights just right for candles, snugly afghans and a fire in the fireplace. How quickly things change with the seasons! ~Adrienne~
ReplyDeleteHappyAutumn! That's a lovely photo.
ReplyDeleteM-m-m-m-m! Fresh baked bread. Sounds so delicious! My Mother baked bread when I was a child. I still remember we'd have bean soup the day she made bread. Good fall foods, don't ya think!

ReplyDeleteOh I can smell the aroma now. What you describe brings me back in memory to my grandma's kitchen and her fresh picked from the garden basil.

ReplyDeleteI'm craving some home baked bread. It's that time of year when the smell of baking bread almost seems like a requirement or something. Now, to decide what flavor of bread to make...
Oh Kathy, that is such a pretty picture! Our leaves are turning here and the trampoline id full of fallen leaves. Fall has definitely arrived!
ReplyDeleteYou made me so hungry, lol! YUM!
Thank you for all of your encouragement and kindness.
Love ya,

I just stopped by from Kacey's site and want to tell you that this little photo is incredible! Loving it so much.

ReplyDeleteI've never had pesto...but looked at it thru the glass...I'd probably love it!
Sounds wonderful. We have all been sick over here, so life has slowed down. My laundry still needs to be done, but when you're not feeling well, you let it go for tomorrow. Hope you get caught up on everything. I think I can smell that bread. Karen
