We had some stormy weather last night. A quick, heavy shower just before sunset and then this. This amazing sky filled the air with golden light. I ran outside with the camera and captured this just before it faded to dark. I don't know that I have ever seen light like that in my life.
This morning, coffee and a bagel with my sweetheart at Panera and a rainy trip to the farmers market for a $5 flat of bright pink impatiens to mix in among the basil in my garden, and a big bouquet of farmers market flowers. Thank you darling:>) It gets the weekend off to a great start! Now I am going to attempt to whip up a quick summer dress from some freebie fabric my sweet mom gave me, and then whipping up some invitations for a summer party.
I hope your weekends are off to a great start too!
Wow, what a beautiful sky, I don't think I've ever seen anything like that either. Sounds like your day is off to a wonderful start. I love Panera. I love the pitcher of fresh flowers too.

Kathy...God has shown us daily ..beautiful things He has created...so many times we take them for granted....then...HE shows us more of His Beauty....what a gorgeous sky!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOn a smaller note...the flowers are so pretty.Could you please share with me the name of the pottery the flowers are in. My grandma had a piece and my cousin got it then it broke and she threw it away. I was wanting to start collecting it..but I had no name!
Thank you! Cindy from Rick-Rack and Gingham

ReplyDeleteWow! What a gorgeous sky our Creator painted for you. I've never seen one like it either. Thinking about your Impatiens and Basil mades me wish for some, too. That just might be what the empty spot in my garden needs! Thanks for the idea.

That sky is amazing Kathy. Sounds like a lovely weekend, bagels and impatiens and a sweetheart's company.
ReplyDeleteThose bubbles were created by an old photo software called Photo Explosion. Unfortunately it was written for the old Microsoft operating system. Can't run it anymore. It was terrific!
I use a Mac, and photoshop now to enhance...no bubbles.

WOW what a sky! I'm so glad you were able to capture it and share with us. The flowers are so pretty, as are the ones in your mosaic from your garden. I'm continuing to keep you in my prayers as you are in school. Proud of you!!!! Hang in there.
ReplyDeleteI know, I was just here commenting yesterday BUT I completely FORGOT about getting you that RED, WHITE, and BLUE potato salad recipe. I'm the worst blogger. :( You asked for the recipe when I did the 4th of July dinner. Here is the link:
