This summer has been so hectic. Evening classes and different schedules have made it hard to sit down to dinner together most nights. Tonight Earl and I pulled the table over by the garden. He grilled sliced pork tenderloin and eggplant brushed with garlic, rosemary olive oil, and sprinkled with salt and pepper, while I sliced some bread and made fresh green beans. A big pitcher of iced tea and some candle light and we were set. What a pleasure to relax in the cool of the garden among the flowers and vegetables and have time for quiet converstion and a good meal!
Oh sigh.... this sounds entirely lovely. Thank you for sharing!

It sounds like the perfect evening with the one you love. I folded laundry on the line tonight with my honey, and surprisingly it was sweet together time. Many blessings to you both, and I hope you get to enjoy more evenings like this in the near future.

I'd love to have an evening picnic in our garden but the mosquitoes would be picnicking on our flesh, so it wouldn't be much fun!! I lopve the thought of it though.
