My favorite month of the year. I'm all about the green, and the flowers, the sunny 70 degree temps, and the farmers market opening, planting the garden, and yes, sometimes planting the garden again when that last frost sneaks in and kills the first attempt. This is the big family birthday month, and the month where I start taking my coffee outside in the morning sunshine.
Roses! Angela
ReplyDeleteI love May because of the flowers and you get to enjoy being outside before its 110 degrees.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of May is that it is the month when my sweetheart was born. And I love the beauty of the world around me. Warmer temperatures, sunny skies (most of the time) and Spring!

What a pretty cup! I too enjoy the warmer mornings and sitting on the porch or deck and enjoying my morning coffee. Also, we enjoy breakfast on the porch on the weekends! Yea!
ReplyDeleteMay has arrived cold as a March morning so I'll take all those things you mention by faith. I was just thinking that May is in my top five months, maybe even my top three. Coffee outside sounds so wonderful. We like to do that, too.
ReplyDeleteMe too! (and beautiful photo, by the way). I love May. Actually, oddly enough, we've had a pretty nice, unusually nice April. May promises a green alfalfa field with gorgeous views. May and October are probably my favorite months in Wisconsin.
ReplyDeleteThis year it's my daughters wedding on the 30th!
ReplyDeleteIt's my late sister's middle name.
ReplyDeleteThe neighbor just cut his lawn....oh, how I love that smell, too! Your t-cup is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHappy May to you, too. May for us means that after Memorial Day I can put our flowers and plants outside -finally!!!! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI love the smell of fresh cut grass and the sound of the birds. But mostly what I love about spring is that the snow is gone!!!

ReplyDeleteI woke up to the sound of grass being cut this morning. One of my favorite childhood memories is the Catholic classroom where the statue of Mary was bedecked all month with lilacs. The windows opened for the first time since winter and that lovely scent.
ReplyDeleteIn May my lilac's and lilly of the valley bloom :) It smells so heavenly then. I also love to have the windows open and the sunshine brightens my day.
ReplyDeletewarmly,

Lilies of the Valley - beautiful cup! May is my birthday month also. My favorite thing is our outing to select our annuals for our urns and baskets, and the return of my herb garden as well!
ReplyDeleteWe've been cutting grass for a month now...son or DIL mow...this 'compound' is setting on a little over an acre so they have a riding mower...and it does, indeed, smell heavenly. At our advanced age, it is such a blessing not to have to do the lawn care...our sweet son has made it so much easier for us. I've never been a gardener...always have had flowers and am doing some container gardening that I am really enjoying. Starting small and will add other plants and flowers later in the season.
ReplyDeleteMay is the only month of the year that we DON'T have birthdays. lol
I really love May, too, Kathy. I think we tend to get antsy in April thinking spring should be coming quicker but really, May is when everything comes alive almost overnight! I think I just love all the greenery around me after the bareness of winter. And I love getting everything spruced up for a summer of fun!
ReplyDeleteI looked at your last post...the bud vases are adorable!! I like the ferns in the wood boxes, too, that would be fun to try...Michael's sells little boxes and galvanized containers for crafts.
Happy May!
