And this cute cottage butter dish, made in England for $5. Much more than I would usually spend on something like this, but I have a small cottage teapot collection going and I couldn't resist this piece to go with it.
And then I found this cool old pitcher, 50 cents! I can see this filled with zinnias from the garden can't you? It says Ohio china company on the bottom, I can't find anything about them when I did a search. It was apparently based out of Monroe, MI (it says that on the bottom too!) Anyone know anything about this?Have you found any cute things at sales lately?
You scored with the pitcher! I've seen something similar in antique stores, but don't really know anything about them. But I'd say it's worth more than 50 cents!

Wow! What wonderful things you found! I sure wish I could find such Treasures when I go out. I have found lately that even the antique stores charge more for used stuff than it would cost for me to buy something new at Home Goods! So off to Home Goods I go! lol
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Angela
It looks like you had some fun gathering those treasures. :) Love that little cottage butterdish!
ReplyDeleteI love your treasures, very nice. I don't get out much but I did get an item on E-bay but it cost me and extra $10 because there was another bidder...drat!

I love the tureen and that little cottage butter dish is adorable. Don't know anything about your other find but you're right -- it will look wonderful with zinnias in it!!

ReplyDeleteHi Kathy
ReplyDeleteYou got some good deals at garage sales. I haven't been to any sales for a couple of weeks. It's just as well because I have too much stuff anyhow. I need to have a sale myself!

We've had at least one bad storm a week for the month of April! I'm hoping May will settle down and just have normal rain!
ReplyDeleteI just love the tureen! $3 is such a great price for something so lovely. That butter dish is just the cutest! I would have paid more!
Manuela

Hi sweetie! You sure found some wonderful pieces. Your pitcher looks like a piece from the 30's or 40's. Did you do a google search? Sometimes the site replacements.com will have info on old china.
ReplyDeleteLOVING that ironstone!!!!!

ReplyDeleteYou made some WONDERFUL finds! The butter dish is adorable. It may seem high for a garage sale find, but it's a fantastic price for something so cute. And yes! I CAN see pretty garden flowers in the pitcher. I hardly use mine for drinks anymore. I usually use them for flowers.
ReplyDeletePatricia :o)
You scored at these sales! What great finds and I love the little 'English' cottage. It's so cute! I'm so jealous ...I haven't been to a sale in a very long time! You've motivated me to get out and take a look!
ReplyDeleteKathy, first thank you so much for your kind comments about our little Abigail and the encouragement.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been sale shopping lately but your finds sure make me want to get out there! I love everything you brought home, and I know I'm going to love whatever you do with your new chairs too.
Do the little chicks have names yet? They are so cute! I wish I could have some running around my yard. We have plenty of bugs they could take care of in Florida.
Hugs,
Lallee
