This is what I made for Carrie for the Sweet & Sinister swap. I had a little pumpkin shaped basket that just cried out to be a scarecrow in a cage for her. He is holding a staff with a little goblin gourd on top.
I used lots of black and silvery glitter and added some old lace and stars and a little gilded pumpkin on top.
The really sweet part is the old jar filled with candy corn and dark chocolate dove promises. The glittered "C" is for Carrie. I hope you like your swap items Carrie:>)
My goodness you are so talented and creative! I have a similar birdcage and I'm staring at it...it's empty...hummm I wonder what I could do with that. Thank you for the inspiration :)
ReplyDeleteI love the jar. You are so talented and make things look so pretty together. You really have an eye for color. If she don't love it I will be happy to take it lol.
ReplyDeleteKathy you did a beautiful job on everything! You should sell your made items in your shop too! WOW. The scarecrow in the cage is SO CUTE!!!! I love it. Great job Kathy, she will love it all!

Very cute stuff!

Everything looks great, especially the scarecrow cage. Although if he's supposed to be sinister, uhm, not so much. Cute. Gloomy perhaps. But not sinister.
ReplyDeleteKathleen, that is so creative, I love it. I'm sure your friend will love it as well.
ReplyDeleteThat is very cute! I always marvel at people's creativity. To be able to take a pumpkin shaped basket and come up with something that actually looks cute? Sheer creative genius! :-) I'd spend all day on something like that and have to burn it.
ReplyDeleteKathleen, I am sure Carrie was thrilled. Your scarry sweet treats look wonderful. The pumpkin scarecrow in a cage is quite clever:) and Candy Corn...Yummy.

It has been fun seeing these swap items! Clever use of a birdcage! Oh, and dark chocolate is ALWAYS good!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing; you are quite creative!!
:)
I'm with Melissa...anything I would try to craft would not be "to give away" and I too would have to discard it. So it is great to see the ideas you come up with.
ReplyDeleteOh, that scarecrow in a cage is so cute! You are so creative! All the pics are really putting me in the mood for Halloween -- now if only the weather would cooperate!
