Lets have dinner together shall we? Nothing fancy. I just made myself this stellar grilled cheese sandwich (meunster!) and a big mug of decaf. It's a chilly 62 degrees here, just cool enough to throw on a sweater and enjoy the warm, gooey cheese sandwich and something hot to drink.
Tonight Earl is in one of his classes and I have had a chance to clean the house after the whirlwind of vacation last week and then the weekend spent at my mothers house and dropping Victoria off at school Monday. The house needed the attention, and while I am not usually someone who lives to clean, (understatement of the year!) it sure feels good to get things in their place. Thinking about changing things up for fall, taking things to Salvation Army for donation, putting my feet up and wishing Victoria was here to rub them for me. That girl rocks a mean foot rub:>)
So there you have it, my life tonight. Visiting with you and wishing I could share a cuppa and a sandwich while we chatted about nothing. I appreciate your visits you know. Your cheer and encouragement, your ideas and laughter, your awesome projects and just a hello. So thanks. Just so you know, I'm thinking about you:>)
Tee hee! I am there with you! Pass the chips...ReplyDelete
It's cool here today too surprisingly, with big stormy clouds! I hadn't seen the forecast so I wasn't expecting it. Grilled cheese sounds great. I think I'll add some soup and calle it a meal!ReplyDelete
Nice to have some alone time to relax and putter around the house!
I love a good grilled cheese...sounds lovely really, perfect for a cool day.. Have a splendid evening.MicaReplyDelete
I love grilled cheese! I use Italian Bread, thinly sliced mozerella and a smidgeon of cheddar. Mercy, it's yummy!ReplyDelete
It's not cool here yet, but when it cools I would love some Hot Apple Cider. Unfortunately, I'm the only one in my family who likes it.
Grilled cheese...a classic! Today was 94 degrees but tomorrow is only going to be 78-80...much better. It seems like lots of us are de-cluttering our homes...I think that's a good thing.ReplyDelete
I just love grilled cheese sandwiches! I wish I was sitting there with you enjoying one in person (well, that could happen some day :-) ).ReplyDelete
Oh my GOSH I wish I had that sandwich!!!! It sounds AMAZING!!!! sheesh, that made me hungry!!!! xoxoxoReplyDelete

You know, I'd rub your feet for you after class...I'm no Victoria, but I'll do my best. :)ReplyDelete
Your sandwich looks delicious ~ browned to perfection. I love fried sandwiches. Right now I am searching for recipes to add to my Farmer's Market menu. Have you made Focaccia bread? I love your blog ~ it's so down to earth!ReplyDelete

Grilled cheese - true comfort food. Do you ever have it on sourdough? That's one of my favorites. We're having a cool spell right now too - 77 degrees tomorrow. My husband and I always call this kind of weather "Glorious Sleeping Weather." (Yes with all capital letters.)ReplyDelete
You're on Mr. Anonymous (aka Earl), lolReplyDelete
That sandwich looks amazing! Yum! Can't wait until it gets a little cooler here! I am ready for some cleaning and declutering myself.ReplyDelete
Thank you for the delicious grilled cheese and cup of coffee. :o) How blessed to be in the 60's with a sweater on. I am counting the days. :o)ReplyDelete
How wonderful to have life back in order.
I hope you are having a wonderful day.
Sincerely ~ Tricia
I made those the other day except I added some ham. I love the gooey cheesey insides and the buttery crunchy outside!ReplyDelete

Wish I could jump through the monitor and join you!ReplyDelete
Yummy! I was so ready for a grilled cheese the other day, thats all I could think about on the way home from work. But when I got home there was no bread to be found, hubby had ate the last of it for lunch!ReplyDelete
Sounds great to me! I'm loving the cooler days and enjoying more hot drinks too! So much color has started in the trees around me. What a sweet time to savor! Have a great day!ReplyDelete
Yum! That is one of my favorite sandwiches. I just finished cleaning the house here. I think I'll enjoy the weekend much more now. Hope you enjoy yours too.ReplyDelete
My favorite sandwich! I love it sometimes when I have the house to myself, so I can tidy things and enjoy our home. You sound like you had a whirlwind of a week.
I hope you have a gorgeous weekend.
