Well we had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I got the table set and then when guests began arriving never picked the camera up again so no pictures of the food! I could line up the leftovers but there are precious few of those too..I'm eating veggies today to make up for my disgusting lack of control yesterday! No shopping with the crowds for me today, I detest crowds, so today I am working on projects and Christmas decorating! Yay! I've already begun digging through the Christmas boxes and planning out the day. We wont get the tree until the first of December, but we have the dessert portion of a progressive dinner here next friday night so I want the house to sparkle:>) Come to think of it, maybe I should be eating vegetables all week in preparation!
All right, I confess, I am not just eating vegetables! What am I ? Superwoman?! I did intend to be a good girl and stick to my diet yesterday and today but the cornbread stuffing and gravy was calling my name and it would be rude not to answer wouldn't it? Well wouldn't it!?

  1. Only veggies today! What self control! I don't do the Black Friday shopping. There just has never been anything that I wanted or needed badly enough to get up that early and face those crowds!

  2. I am with you today! As a young woman I would fight the best of them on Friday. Now I could careless...I have learned the crowds make me rude and mad.I think it best to stay away.Im in my warm bed having coffee. Glad you day went well.

  3. Aw, I feel guilty for having that piece of pie for breakfast! ha!

Your table is so pretty and I am sure that it was a treat to have been seated there.

    Have fun decorating!

  4. Hi Kathy, such a beautfiul table setting :) Oh goodness, indulgence is okay on such a special occasion such as Thanksgiving, ours is a Christmas turkey indulgence and we are going to make your sausage and cornbread stuffing :) Have a lovely weekend :) Jenn and Jacqui

  5. Pretty table!

Wait, what? Veggies today? You mean pumpkin pie, right? Oh, I am so embarrassed. I had puff pancake for breakfast and leftover turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, pie & ice cream for dinner. At least I skipped lunch, right?

    Happy decorating!

  6. Kathy, you are too good! I had the same dinner tonight that I had last night! Love those leftovers!

    Your table is beautifully set...

    Have fun with your decorating!

  7. Nice table setting...mmm, suddenly I feel like having turkey and pumpkin pie again.. our Thanksgiving was in October so that seems long ago.

  8. Oh my....I had to eat leftovers. As a matter of fact, I ate left over cornbread dressing for breakfast this a.m.......I'm bad! LOL! Your Thanksgiving table is beautiful! If you get a chance hop over to my blog and to Phyllis' Shabby in the City blog. She is hosting an online Christmas Craft Show. Lots of crafters are participating. Me too! And I will be adding more as the weekend goes on! I hope you will drop by!

  9. Your table looks beautiful...hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful too!

    Have a very blessed day!

  10. Your table is beautiful! I love your candleabra - I collect yellow depression glass. I've never seen that piece. It works so well on your table. Perfect. Wish I lived close enough to share 'veggies' with you! I like your new header. Just right. ~Adrienne~

  11. Hi Kathy, please don't be too good....I feel guilty for eating pie with ice cream for breakfast. We have lots of leftovers so today will be kind of like Thanksgiving all over again:).
Have fun decorating, that's what I'm doing too, plus some shopping. Linda

  12. Indeed it would be rude not to answer! hehehe:) And of course there is the leftover Turkey sandwich that absoulutely MUST be eaten on Friday.

    Your table looks lovely!

  13. Yup anything that good calling your name must be answered, Kathleen!
    Thanksgiving leftovers are the best!

  14. Stuffing, potatoes and gravy and biscuits.....
oh yes they all call my name too!
    I feel like a turkey today {Stuffed}

Glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  15. Hi Kathy, I'm so sick of leftovers, even the stuffing! I swear, next year we're having Baked Ziti for Thanksgiving -- now there's some leftovers I can never tire of! :) Your table looks beautiful! Looking forward to seeing your Christmas decorations.
