Thanks for the kind words regarding my exam. I could run along and pretend everything was hunky dorey but I would rather be true. Besides, we fall down and we pick ourselves back up again, that's what life is all about isn't it? Onward and upward, stiff upper lip, never, never, never give up, right Winston?
So here's a little sneek peek at some things I've been working on. I hope to get a lot of sewing done in the next few days, as much as possible.
These are made from modern day feed sacks. Sturdy enough to hold 50 pounds of beans or horse feed and cute as the dickens for a trip to the farmers market, grocery store, a picnic, and big enough to fit a crock pot full of goodies for the next church picnic like I did.
Pure country girl. Oldest daughter has already scammed the first one off me. But I love to make things she loves, so I let her:>) Coming soon to etsy.
The bags are fabulous. Everyone wants their own signature tote bag and these are perfect.ReplyDelete
Keep up the GREAT work! :-)
Oh Kathy! Those are adorable bags. Love the first one too. :o) I can hardly wait to see what you stock your Etsy with.ReplyDelete
So glad you are up and adam! :o)
Have a nice afternoon.
Sincerely ~ Tricia
I love them Kathy! They are going to fly off your ETSY shelf!!ReplyDelete
I have been working with some similar material....in a totally differnt way! I gave a sneak peak a few days ago.
You've done it again, sugar! WOW, that is just adorable. Wonder why feed sacks are becoming so popular nowadays, chick? We used to throw them away...ReplyDelete
They are going to be a hit! Mark my words :)ReplyDelete
Love your new bags! My dentist's chairside assistant makes and sells bags from feedbags. She's been selling them for several years and they go like crazy! At first everyone thought she was nuts, I'm sure. Can't wait to see more of your creations.ReplyDelete
Your totes are fabulously farmgirl and I love them! But your work always strikes a beautiful chord with me...
Sorry to hear about your test...my heart sank for you as you described the ordeal...but hey, it will all work together for good...it always does. And BTW, I hate HTML...don't let it get the best of you :o)
Congrats on another semester under your belt!
Hugs & Blessings,
Love these! I saw a tutorial on some website showing how to make reusable grocery bags from birdseed and dogfood bags...so ingenious! All the graphics are fabulous.ReplyDelete
I love scamming your crafty goodness :) I think I've used the bag everyday since I stole it! hehehehe Love you mom!ReplyDelete
Kathy what a great tote, so useful - great size.ReplyDelete
Awesome Kathy...I love them!ReplyDelete
These are great! My daughter would love the last one with the horse on it.ReplyDelete
Love these country bags! My Mother remembers going to the feed store and picking out sacks for the fabric. Back then they were printed with flowers etc. and they used them for clothes! By the way I LOVE the zinnias peeking out of the bags!ReplyDelete
That first one grabbed me immediately and won't let go...ReplyDelete
OMGosh...something else to put on my Wish List...I LOVE these..what great gifts they will make. Can't wait for you to get them up in Etsy..:))ReplyDelete
Adorable bags Kathy! Love them!ReplyDelete
Wow.. those totebags are great!ReplyDelete
These bags are so cute! I work at a grocery store and I just love seeing all the different bags that people have.ReplyDelete
How cute! I just bought a feed sack at a garage sale last week. Made of a canvasy cottony fabric. Does yours have a water resistant finish on it? Hard to tell in the picture. Did you make up your own pattern? I might just have to copy you once again! MimiReplyDelete
love these...I can understand why your dgt. scammed them from you. ☺ReplyDelete
G'morning, Kathy...I just came over from S. Sunday...this has been such an awesome weekend.ReplyDelete
Oh what cute bags! I can't wait to take a look in your shop!ReplyDelete
Thank you for supporting the Miracle Makeover blog party. I used to do a lot of sewing projects but now I play on the computer mostly. LOLReplyDelete
Have a great week.
That's the spirit!ReplyDelete
Those are soooo darn cute! I love them!
I am so happy that you found time to do what you love to do and do it so well!
