Thanks for all the well wishes, I am feeling much better this morning and off to work in a few minutes:>)  I had to share this photo.  Red currants, I have always been curious about them, they look so pretty and I had never tried one.  These were on the markdown rack at Meijer last week, they looked fine to me and the fresh date was some time this week.  For 75 cents I thought it was the perfect time to try them. Aren't they gorgeous? I just had to take a photo, and then I baked some lovely scones wioth these little jewels inside.  I'm afraid they just aren't for me. Each one has a not so tiny hard seed iside that I just don't care for. The fruit itself tastes great and if you don't mind hard seeds in your food you should immediately run out and get some of these.  If you prefer your fruit without hard seeds, but find them on the markdown rack, buy them anyways, they make a lovely photo:>) Hope you all had a great weekend, I'll be catching up with everyone tonight!
 Happy Monday!

  1. I love what you were able to do with 75 cents!! A fabulous photograph and a taste test...I haven't had red currants so I will keep that in mind if I find them in my grocers or at the farmers market!

  2. Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well... Happy to hear you are feeling better:)
I have never had red currents.. except in premade jam. The little seeds would be a bummer. But your photo of them is lovely!
    Blessings~

  3. I am so glad you are feeling better...not nice to be sick.
I have not ever had red currants in foods and the comment from another blogger about red currants in jelly sounds very delicious!
I do like to eat them from the bush...they are somewhat tart but I like 'em....

  6. We have black currant bushes in our yard. They put off the most aromatic smell!! My grandsons like to pick them and eat them right off the bush. Between those two and the birds, there doesn't appear to be enough for anybody else! But I hear that they are quite delicious.

  13. I was thinking about you today Kathy. I was lost in the land of fabrics and books about fabrics. I picked up the Christmas Tilda book, which I have at home. That book always reminds me of you. I notice that many people on Spoonflower design plushies on a fat quarter or yard.

With your knowledge of design, fabric and graphic design, you would be a ntural at designing fabric on Spoonflower. If you ever have any questions, just send me a note.

This photograph is evidence of your gorgeous sense of design. When I visit your blog, I feel like I have just enjoyed a cup of coffee with a great friend in your cozy home.
