Kari and Kijsa are asking everyone to share a little bit of spring with them today. Grand idea! Here is my little bit, every year I have to have my primrose fix. I love the brilliant colors and the fact that they are so cheap I can buy them in lots of different colors. I can never decide which color would be my favorite so I get as many as I can without breaking the budget. Sitting in my sunny window in the living room they just make me happy. I never succeed in keeping them alive for much longer than a few weeks, but I have found that even when they look really dead, if I plant them in a shady spot in the garden as soon as the snow melts and it is about 40 degrees out, they do very well and even bloom again a few times in the summer. Happy Monday and happy spring everyone!
I can see why the flowers make you happy...a bit of spring! They are beautiful along with their little friend. Happy Spring!ReplyDelete
Happy spring, dear Kathy! Love your primroses. I have some, too, on my kitchen table. They are so cheerful!ReplyDelete
Love those primroses. I have a tough time deciding which colors too. It's wonderful how all the bright, even garish, colors look so beautiful together.ReplyDelete
Happy soon-to-be Spring Kathy! The primroses are so pretty!ReplyDelete
Happy Spring to you too! I am visiting via Kari and Kijsa and I just love your primroses and your pretty pincushion!ReplyDelete
Your birds are very nice...ReplyDelete
You work so marvelously - I am completely inspired!
Happy Spring :-)
Primroses come in such happy cheerful colors! I love them too. They look so pretty with your bird!ReplyDelete
Those colorful primroses are just perfect for spring! Love your vignette with the bird nestled against the primroses.ReplyDelete
Lovely spring flowers Kathy! And to know they bring you happiness now and in the summer is priceless!ReplyDelete
Oh what a lovely Springtime display.ReplyDelete
Hi Kathy The primroses are great for cheering you up at the end of a long winter aren't they. I used to always try to keep and then plant them in the garden when it warmed up. That way the next year I would be able to enjoy them again.ReplyDelete
I love primroses, too. I love flowers...don't we all? I wish I had the money Oprah has...she says there is NO reason we should EVER have faux flowers and plants...we should just get fresh flowers all the time. Thank you, Oprah...I just wish I could afford that! :)ReplyDelete
Have a great day!
I love my primroses too dear Kathy! They are the first touches of Spring in my kitchen. I have never planted them in the garden but thanks to your inspiration I will do that this year and see if they stay with me awhile longer!ReplyDelete
Have a sweet week!
Lovely photos, almost like a postcard!ReplyDelete
