The table cloth is one my mom was getting rid of. I love the bright sunny colors. Earl found the old dish towels and a lot of old emroidered linens for 50 cents each at one of the sales and grabbed them for me. I cant get new ones for that price and I LOVE the old ones. As a cost cutting measure (I am off work for the summer, love that, hate going without a paycheck!) I am hanging more laundry on the line and trying to pinch pennies any way I can. It isn't so bad. I kind of like the sunshine and fresh air in my clothes and love it when I hang the linens out. See the clothespin bag I whipped up out of grandma's feedsacks? No pattern, just did what I could and I think it turned out pretty cute.
Hey, won't that table cloth look great covered in all the new recipes we will be sharing on Monday!? I can't wait. Don't forget. I'll try to find a Mr. Linky so you can all add your links (any suggestions where I can find it?) I have a few etsy projects in the works and can't wait to share them. I'll see you all soon!
You are so fortunate to have a real live clothes line and some hot sun to go with it.ReplyDelete
Kathy, I'm ready for the recipes and have a link on my blog. I've done the recipe already and scheduled it to start on the 30th, my sweet cottage girl...........ReplyDelete

There is nothing as sweet as the smell of freshly washed linens after they have been hung to dry. I love how creative you are with a sewing machine. I can't even thread the bobbin and needle on my sewing machine! Kathy, I would love to join in on Monday for the recipe swap! KarenReplyDelete

Your clothes pin bag turned out great!
What great finds in linens you got! They look so great just hanging on the line too. I have never had a house with a clothesline so we've never been able to have that fresh air smell in our laundry. Nothing like it!
Hope you're having a good weekend.
